Wild About Rotherham

en:volve is delivering free environmental activities to 11-19 year olds on green spaces across Rotherham funded by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. The aim is to encourage more young people to use their local parks and open spaces engaging in natural play opportunities.  Activitives will include shelter building, stream dipping, environmental games and tool use.  Sessions take place outside school hours and will run until March 2013.

Actvities have included natural elder jewerlly, den building, fire lighting in storm kettles, making mallets and pendents using tools, conservation tasks and much more.  So far more than 400 young people have taken part in various activities across the borough.

If you would like to get your group of young people involved please do get in touch, the sites we mainly use are:
Centenary Riverside
Ferham Park
Whiston Meadows
Canklow Woods
Herringthorpe Park
